Andrea is 15 and will be a Sophomore at Taos High School.  Emily is 6 and is looking forward to 1st grade at Taos Elementary.  My mom teaches at Taos High School, has a BS in Biology with a minor in Chemistry, and is finishing her Masters in Math.  My dad is the Postmaster at Ranchos Post Office in Ranchos de Taos.

My Grandma Vangie has retired from teaching at Taos Elementary, but is a full time, award winning gardener and grandma.  My Grandpa Herman passed away while doing what he loved best, teaching at Taos High.

My Nana Joyce works for Prudential Realty as an Administrative Assistant.  When she is home, however, she also loves to garden and be a grandma.

Besides all of that, I also have my God-Brothers and Sisters; Ashton Cantu (Joe & Karen Cantu), Alixandra Cogan (Monica & Michael Cogan), Darren Tafoya (Miguel & Sara Tafoya), Brianna Quintana (Alex & Donna Quintana); and my self proclaimed brother, Ryan Martin (Karen Cantu & Rick Martin).

Nana, Tia, and Mom take a break

We are a bunch of interesting people to say the least.  Aside from the obvious, my family extends even further.  Believe me, you don't want me to go further until I figure out how to easily map this nonsense because I would take up a whole page listing only to my third cousins!!

I had planned to spend my 20th birthday in Paris, but since my summer abroad was cancelled, that obviously wasn't possible.  I still had a great birthday though.  My parents did a little dinner for me, and  my mom made me a cake.  It was so pretty!

She drew the Eiffel Tower on it (in my favorite color) and placed a little flag that said (in French) "I know this isn't Paris, but it's your birthday!  Love all of us; Mom, Dad, Andrea, and Emily."  Well actually it said "Love your United States...,"but I knew what she meant :)

* This is exactly why Mme. Bussierre told us NOT to use online translators!  LOL

Regardless, I really had an amazing day.  The cake made it all a wonderful, very special day.
